This Week’s Kobo Books Promo for eBook Deals

Kobo - Over 2 Million eBook titles

Kobo’s marketing department is good at keeping things interesting. For the next week, from March 5th to March 12th, Kobo is running a promotion where you can get coupons based on how much you spend on your next purchase of ebooks.

If you already seen this deal a couple of days ago, check the details again because Kobo must’ve been required to change it. Before they offered $$$ back in the form of eGift cards, which could be used on Agency ebooks. Publishers must’ve complained. No one is allowed to offer discounts on precious Agency ebooks in any shape or form. God forbid ebookstores compete for your purchases.

Here’s how the Kobo promotion works:

  • Get a 15% coupon when you spend $25 or more
  • Get a 20% coupon when you spend $35 or more
  • Get a 30% coupon when you spend $55 or more

Rules and restrictions:

Note: The terms and conditions of this promotion have been changed. The original promotion launched on March 2nd.

Offer valid from March 5 at 12:00 AM GMT through to March 12 at 11:59 PM GMT. This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion and cannot be used to adjust amount paid on previous purchases. Discount code is valid for one time use of any eBook from this list excluding those from the following publishers: In the UK – Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Penguin, Pan Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and all respective subsidiary imprints. In the US – excluding Hachette Book Group USA, Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Macmillan, Zondervan, Random House and all respective subsidiary imprints. In CA – HarperCollins UK, Hachette, Grand Central, Warner, and Little Brown. In AU/NZ – Hachette Book Group and all respective subsidiary imprints.

Newspapers and magazines are excluded from this offer. Promotional code must be entered at time of purchase to qualify for this discount. Discounts cannot be applied nor the discount value refunded once a purchase is complete. We reserve the right to change or end this offer at any time without notice.

Spend amounts can be reached by a single or multiple eBook purchase. Spend amounts will be calculated on the before-tax eBook price. Coupons will be delivered to the email of the Kobo account you signed up with and will be delivered no later than March 23, 2011.

One offer per person, per accumulated spend over the promotional period.

  1. Barnes and Noble offers a free book every Friday of which I often take advantage of.
Kobo is not as generous and that’s to bad.
I own a NOOK and a Sharper Image Liberati so I am married to both companies.
The free books offered by Kobo are old classics such as Dracula, Tom Sawyer, etc. and that is not very generous either. A new thriller by Guy Saville will be available on March 8 I believe. Amazon has it in its sights as does B&N.
    Kobo nothing.
My favorite ebook by the way is the Liberati with the lighted screen reversed which renders it for night reading . I used to have difficulty falling asleep- yet with this ereader I conk out well now. It’s a pity that Kobo is not so giving.
