Nook Glowlight 3 On Sale for $89

Nook Glowlight 3 Sale

Barnes and Noble has put their latest Nook on sale for the next couple of days. The deal is even better than their Black Friday sale.

Through December 20th you can get the new Nook Glowlight 3 for $89.99 with free shipping.

Apparently the deal isn’t available in retail stores; the note says it’s online only.

The Glowlight 3 normally sells for $119 so the sale price is 25% off.

If you want an ereader with an adjustable frontlight color, the Nook is a good inexpensive option since the next device up the price scale with that feature is the Kobo Aura H2O and it sells for twice as much.

The Glowlight 3 has a 6-inch E Ink screen with 300 ppi. It has page buttons on each side of the screen and an infrared touchscreen. It supports PDF and ePub formats, including Adobe DRM.

It has 8GB of storage space, with 5.5GB available for Nook content and 1GB for sideloaded content. However, they’re working on a software update to make 5.5GB usable for sideloaded content, according to some early beta testers at MobileRead.

The Kindle Paperwhite 3 is also on sale but it’s priced a bit higher at $99. Considering it comes with ads at that price (you have to pay an extra $20 to remove them), it makes the Nook deal seem even better.

  1. Woo hoo! Christmas shopping done. $9 more off if you’re a B&N Member.

  2. Do you know whether it can be shipped abroad? (Europe)

  3. Nate did you end up keeping the GL3? Do you use it often?

    • Yeah I still have it and I like it in general but I’d just rather use the larger Oasis 2 or Aura One. I’m not a sideloader anymore and I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t care about owning ebooks because most I only want to read once (if that). So lately I just use Prime Reading and library ebooks, and the Nook makes it too much of a pain to load library ebooks.

  4. The Kobo Aura Ed2 is $99 as well. B&N is in such bad shape these days that I’d have a difficult time justifying any purchase from them which relies upon them being around in a year.
