This is going to be the last free ebooks post for awhile. To be perfectly honest free ebooks posts are more trouble than they are worth because they are time-consuming to create and then a few weeks later the posts are pretty much worthless since most free ebooks only last for a limited time.
So for this post, instead of listing a bunch of free ebooks that will soon expire, I’ve listed the places where you can keep updated on the latest free ebooks yourself. And don’t forget the main free ebooks page for the list of most popular websites to get free ebooks from. Enjoy!

Here are some more free ebooks for this week. The ones from Amazon and Barnes and Noble are restricted to their supported devices and apps, but the Sony ebooks use regular Adobe DRM so they can be read on any Adobe-supporting device—most all ereaders support Adobe DRM.
Note that most of these free ebooks are promotional and are only free for a limited time. Plus more free ebooks can be found on the free ebooks page.

is offering $1 off non-agency titles with code may27us1. It is an unlimited use coupon that expires on May 30th. It can be used to get ebooks priced at $0.99 for free.
Another code for Kobo, get 20% off with code Spring20off. This one expires on May 31st.

First things first, the top six ebooks listed below were found via MobileRead and are freebies from NASA that will work with virtually any ebook reader. They are offered in mobi, prc, pdf, and epub formats.
Amazon opened the free ebook flood gates this week, releasing dozens and dozens of free ebooks, far too many to list here. I’ve listed some of them below; you can find a lot more by searching over at Amazon.

Here’s a list of free ebooks to start the weekend. The first list is for free Kindle Books and the second list of ebooks are from Kobo in ePub format, which will work with any ereader that supports Adobe DRM as well as Kobo’s free ereading apps.

Yesterday Read an E-Book Week kicked off with a number of publishers and authors offering thousands of free and discounted ebooks to help promote ebooks around the world.
Read an E-Book Week was created in 2004 to help bring attention to ebooks and to educate and inform the public about the advantages of digital books. Last year Read an E-Book Week reached e-reading fans from over 136 countries.
