If you follow this website, The eBook Reader Blog, by email, those emails will no longer be sent out starting in July 2021.
The emails are delivered by Google FeedBurner, but in typical Google fashion they’ve decided to discontinue some of FeedBurner’s services, so the emails are being phased out in July. FeedBurner will still work for RSS feeds, but the daily emails will no longer be going out.
If you would still like to receive emails whenever a new article is posted on this website you can subscribe to The eBook Reader Blog using follow.it.
I’m not familiar with follow.it and I’m not sure if I’m going to use their service moving forward, but they deliver emails for any website’s RSS feed so you can use them regardless, and they offer more delivery options and settings than FeedBurner.
I have the option to migrate FeedBurner emails to their service, but something about transferring emails without any warning doesn’t seem right to me. So here’s the heads-up: If you don’t want your email address transferred to follow.it (or some other email delivery service), then use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of your FeedBurner email to remove your email from the active subscriber’s list. I’m still not sure if I’m going to transfer the email addresses, but this insures you get to make the choice yourself.
Moving forward, if you want to get emails you’ll need to re-subscribe to The eBook Reader Blog using follow.it.
You can also get updates via The eBook Reader’s Facebook and Twitter feeds if you’d rather not receive emails.

Thank you for being responsible and accountable. It is a nice change to see someone doing the right thing instead of just taking the easy way out.

Hi Nathan!
Unsure what is happening here. Been subscribed to follow.it for the better part of half a year now and still receive the old Feedburner emails as before (but now with redundancy). Can I cancel the follow.it list membership as the Feedburner emails have a more convenient layout?
Nathan says
You can keep whichever one you prefer. I like the layout of Feedburner’s emails too and how they don’t have ads, but the delivery frequency has become really sketchy. Sometimes they don’t send out the email for several days. I guess it’s only a problem with limited-time deals posts. I don’t know why Google didn’t discontinue the emails like they said they were going to, but I guess it’s better this way, even if they are late most of the time now.
