Amazon Brings Kindle Unlimited to France and Brazil

December 13, 2014 by Nathan Groezinger

Kindle Unlimited

Amazon has been steadily adding more counties to their Kindle Unlimited ebook subscription service since it first launched in the United States this past July.

Now Kindle Unlimited has become available in both France and Brazil.

That makes seven countries that now have access to KU. The other five include the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Kindle Unlimited works by giving customers unlimited access to a library of ebooks for a monthly subscription rate, similar to how Netflix works with videos. And like Netflix, you’ll find a lot of the bigger companies with the most popular titles refusing to offer them in the program.

Nonetheless, Kindle Unlimited boasts a selection of over 600,000 English-language titles and another 100,000 in other languages.

In France, Kindle Unlimited costs €9.99 a month. They are kicking off a promotion where it is €0.99 for the first month when signing up by January 10th.

In Brazil, Kindle Unlimited costs R$ 19.90 per month and it comes with a free 30 day trail for new customers that sign up.

Kindle Unlimited ebooks work with Kindle ereaders and Fire tablets, in addition to Kindle reading apps for iOS, Android, and Windows. Books can also be read using the Kindle program for Mac and PC computers, along with the Kindle Cloud Reader that works with most web browsers.
