Today Amazon issued a press release with a list of some of the best Prime Day deals to expect over the 30-hour sales period.
Prime Day starts tonight at 9PM ET and continues through tomorrow, July 11th, with Alexa voice deals starting 2 hours early.
The deals are exclusively for Amazon Prime members, but you can get a free 30-day trial for Amazon Prime if you want to get in on the deals.
The Kindle Paperwhite is the only Kindle on the sneak peek list, but more Kindles will likely go on sale at some point. Last year they had several Kindles on sale, including refurbished units.
They still have the Kindle Essentials bundles on sale for Prime members from yesterday’s deals, and they have the Kindle Voyage and Paperwhite on sale for Prime Day in Canada and the UK, so it’ll probably show up for sale on the US site too.
I’ll update this post when more Kindle-related deals get added.
Check the main Prime Day Deals page at Amazon for current sales.

Now I can reorder the a Fire HD 8 Kids Edition, only $89.99 and save $40…
As you know I had to cancel the delivery of my Fire HD 8 Kids Edition because of OnTrac screwed up my delivery.
Nathan says
Hopefully they’ll use a different delivery service the second time around…
Bobdeloyd says
Hopefully yes, but I doubt it.
Bobdeloyd says
Just bought it 🙂
Nathan says
I already bought a lot of this stuff when it wasn’t on sale. How convenient…
Bobdeloyd says
Well here’s the tracking number for OnTrac if anyone is interested
Carrier: ONTRAC, Tracking #: C12340312514238
It is supposed to be delivered on Wednesday
Rob says
if you order a kindle fire hd 8 through Alexa it is only 49.99.
Nathan says
Indeed. It’s that price now without Alexa too. I’ve updated the page to add all the new deals.
Alyatama says
Now Kindle Voyage is under sale.. $149.99
Rick says
Ordered the fire HD 8 for $49 and as much as I wanted to love it it is the heaviest tablet I have ever owned and I immediately sent it back despite the cost. It is way too ridiculously heavy.
Nathan says
That was my number one complaint as well. It’s weird that it’s an ounce heavier than last year’s model. It’s even heavier than the 13.3-inch Sony DPT-RP1 that I’m currently reviewing, despite the massive size difference.
Rick says
Not only that but as youmentioned, the audio absolutely sucks, the lighting is very dim and the bezels are huge. I know it’s only $49 and yet I still felt ripped off, I can’t even think of paying regular price.
Bobdeloyd says
Rick, if it’s that bad I will keep my Fire 7 and send the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition to my girlfriend’s young son!
I do like the Fire 7 with the Kid-Proof Case I added as a kick around not to worry if it breaks tablet and use it more than any other table I have.
Rick says
Hey Bob, personally it’s that bad. Nate was precise in his review. My 3 main gripes
1. Very heavy – Some people equate heavy with “quality” but I don’t. Nowadays, thinner and lighter means premium quality and this tablet is just too heavy for comfortable use. I noticed this immediately. In my opinion the heavier the cheaper.
2. Screen quality is sub-par – Forget the low resolution, I expected that. What I didn’t expect was major back-light bleed and a very dim screen even at the brightest setting. To dim for personal taste.
3. Lackluster audio – Even at the highest setting the audio has a slight buzz and simply isn’t loud enough.
Obviously these are all shortcuts in order to keep the price low but i’m at the point where I don’t want clutter. I only want quality even if that means spending a bit more. I don’t want to be surrounded by sub-par products that i’m not completely happy with and will only use from time to time which is why I immediately returned it, even at $49. I didn’t need a Fire Tablet as I prefer Kobo Readers by a mile but I was curious and now simply disappointed.
