Sixteen-year-old Damien Locke has a plan: major in messing with people at the local supervillain university and become a professional evil genius, just like his supervillain mom. Girl in the Wild by Beth Orsoff

Sydney sees the walrus as merely a means to improving her career and her love life—and not necessarily in that order. Bob found his way to Kiva.org, the leading portal through which individuals make microloans all over the world: for as little as $25-50, businesses are financed and people are uplifted. Astonishingly, the repayment rate was nearly 99%, so he re-loaned the money to others over and over again.

And who is the mysterious Skull-man who warns of death if the show goes on with one of Marion’s offbeat endings?
Kobo Daily Deals
Kobo is no longer going to be included on this list. This is the third time in the past two weeks where they’ve neglected to post a daily deal, despite the fact they advertise it on top of every single page. If Kobo can’t get their act together then nuts to them. I even emailed them about it last time, but no one cares at Kobo, that much is clear.

Nook Note
Does anyone out there actually care if I post Barnes and Noble’s daily deal and a couple of free ebooks each day? My reports show that not a single person has purchased the Nook Daily Find since I started doing this. People are only paying attention to the Kindle deals so maybe I’ll just drop the Nook from this list entirely. If you want me to keep including Nook please let me know.

Well, don’t keep the Nook deals in just for me, but I have gotten a number of the freebies since you started this.
Nathan says
It’s good to know you’re getting some use out of it. Maybe I’ll keep it around. I don’t want to do just Kindle deals. And Kobo is too unreliable, and doesn’t have a free ebook section anymore.
David says
Nathan,
The Nook blogs have a excellent ongoing thread which reports on free Nook Books. Most Nook owners looking for freebies likely know this and use that source. I would say go ahead and stop listing Nook stuff. There is already an easy one stop shop for that.
I can post the link for this thread if you think it is appropriate.
Nathan says
Sure, go ahead. Some folks will find it useful. Me included :).
David says
Here is the link to the “Free NOOKbook summary thread”
Sorry if that is kinda messy looking.
Nathan, will HTML work here?
Nathan says
Indeed it does. I went ahead and updated it.
MizzBee says
I would like for you to continue to include Nook books in your offerings. I download both Nook and Kindle books. There are many sites with free Kindle ebooks, I get a daily email with free and discounted Kindle ebooks. Nook seem to get dissed by blogs. As a side note, I own all of the Nooks except the First Edition. I also own the Kindle Keyboard and the Kindle Fire HD 2012. I never turn on the Keyboard and very seldom turn on the KHD.
Nathan says
Yeah, Amazon has their affiliate program so all kinds of websites and blogs post about all things related to Amazon. That’s why I wanted to post some for Nook and Kobo. They have affiliate programs too but they are unreliable and aren’t worth the time to use, so most websites don’t care to mention much about them. But I honestly don’t care about affiliate programs because they pay so little anyway and are a hassle to deal with; I just want to do posts people find useful. And it looks like some folks are finding the free Nook books useful so I’ll keep them coming.

Cathy Konas says
I find all your posts useful, no matter the subject. 🙂
Sue says
I have gotten several free Nook books since you started posting them each day so it would be great if you could continue esp since there are so many other ways to get Kindle books while Nook is usually left out, perhaps another reason Amazon is winning the ereader wars.
Marsha says
I take advantage of the Nook Freebies so I would miss those.
Ted Meberg says
I have a NookColor with an N2a card, allowing me to access Nook, Kindle, Google Books and Kobo. I do check out the Nook offers…I just wish there was more available there.
John DePetro says
I have used both the Kindle and Nook offering for freebies and to buy books. It’s easier to see every thing in one place than look at several sites. Very helpful to me.
Cindy says
I’ve purchased a few of them also.
Dee says
I like having the Kindle and Nook deals in one place, although I can check on the Nook stuff on the Nook Blog. It’s just more convenient.
Linda says
Even though I use the B+N Free Friday books & apps link, I like a variety of sources. I have downloaded several books from your site and would like to see you continue to include Nook offerings.
Jim J says
Please keep the Nook listing. I look at it everyday. Finding time to read is an issue but I still buy books ‘for when I have the time’.
Nathan says
I think it’s pretty funny all the people that stood up for the Nook wanting to keep them coming, but not a single person minds dropping Kobo from the list. That’s the power of free ebooks; Kobo really should consider reinstating that section to their website…
Julie says
Yes, please keep the Nook listing. I download both Kindle & Nook books, but I actually spend more time in the Nook books. Thanks for all the great info!
BEddy says
I use both Kindle & BN deals. I also refer
to friends,coworkers and family.
george says
Please continue posting the Nook info….
Thanks
Katie says
I check out all the deals including the Nook and while I haven’t yet bought the daily deal I have used the Nook freebies listing to read books by several authors I was inexperienced with or unaware of. Nice way to find an author whose books you could become addicted to reading. Thanks for the listings by the way!!!!
