Awhile back I posted about Kobo offering a free $10 credit the first time customers use the new Visa Checkout option that Kobo has recently added to their website.
Apparently that offer wasn’t active yet even though Kobo said it was, but now it’s back again and this time they are advertising it on their homepage so it’s bound to be good. According to the fine print, the offer is valid from July 9th through July 30th.
The fine print also stipulates that the offer is only valid for U.S. customers.
For more information, see this Visa Checkout promo page at Kobo.
Kobo is also currently running a second promotion where new users can get a free $5 credit for signing up a new account.
It requires setting up a new Kobo account to get the free $5, so obviously existing customers are left out in this deal. Here’s the link to the page to redeem the offer.
It’s a long-standing promotion that doesn’t expire until October 31st, 2015.
New Kobo customers could take advantage of both credits to get $15 worth of ebooks for free. Not bad.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I’ve been wanting to purchase a certain eBook, but not wanting to pay $11.99 for it. So… I picked out a decent 99-cent book and registered/used Visa Checkout to pay for it. Now hopefully I’ll receive a $10 credit that I can use to pay for (most of) the book I really want.
