Here’s something a little different. Instead of posting a list of free Kindle ebooks this week, Amazon already has a pre-selected list of ebooks available to help celebrate National Reading Month, and you can get one for free.
There are ten ebooks on the list, and you can choose one to download for free. Basically, Amazon is giving away a $4.99 credit that can be used to “purchase” one of the books since they are all listed at $4.99.
Here’s the page with the list of ebooks for National Reading Month. The books cover several different genres, and there’s even a kid’s book.
The offer expires on March 15th at 11:59 PDT so make sure to get your free ebook before then.
The terms and conditions say the offer “may” only be available to customers in the US, but it’s not very definitive on the matter. They also say it’s limited to one per customer, per account.
Make sure to check the full terms and conditions for more details.

I’m in the US and none of the books listed on that page are free. They’re all $3.99 or $4.99.
Nathan says
Exactly. You get one free in the form of a credit. See the terms and conditions page.

I don’t know how it works. I downloaded one and it charged me. I returned it.

Me too …

Hello
I have kindle unlimited and they all appeared as Kindle unlimited books. So while I can download any one or all of them, I can’t buy one as my own book without being charged I don’t think. Eventually I’d had to return the book to get another later.
Can you assist on how we can have one as a free book?
Thank you
Nathan says
Sorry but I don’t know the exact requirements of the deal; I’m just reporting what I see. This is what happens when I click on one of the books. It shows a credit to redeem the book:

I spoke with Amazon who states they are not involved with this 3rd party promotion and unless the third party gives a promotional code to be applied automatically for the discount, there will be no discount taken.
Rod says
They charged me too. At least they gave me a refund.
