For those of you wondering if Amazon is going to have any deals on Kindle Unlimited for Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, Amazon is in fact going to be offering 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for $0.99.
I’m not sure exactly when the deal will go live, but you can keep an eye on the main Kindle Unlimited deal page at Amazon to see when it becomes available. The deal might not start until November 20th, but they sometimes start these Kindle Unlimited deals earlier than the main deals with sales like this.
Either way, Amazon is definitely doing the 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for $0.99 deal again because they specifically mentioned it last week in this sneek peek at Black Friday deals article.
These types of deals are only offered to new and some returning subscribers so if you already have a Kindle Unlimited membership your account won’t be eligible for this deal.
However, anyone can buy up to 24 months of Kindle Unlimited in advance with Kindle Unlimited Gift deals. The prices aren’t as low as they used to be, and I don’t know if they’re going to be doing any special discounts this year (probably not), but it’s still slightly cheaper than paying monthly.
When it comes to returning subscribers, these 3 months for $1 deals can be hit or miss. If you took advantage of a similar deal earlier in the year you might not be eligible for this offer. I got 3 months free back in July with a new Kindle purchase so I probably won’t get this deal, like I didn’t get the last one in October, and that’s why I won’t know when it does become available and goes live. But I wanted to give everyone a heads up that it’ll be starting sometime this week.
If you’re also going to be buying a new Kindle during the upcoming Black Friday sales that start on the 20th, you’ll want to activate this deal first if your account is eligible. You can stack the free 3 months of Kindle Unlimited that comes with new Kindles to an existing membership, but you can’t do it the other way around. Once you active the free 3 months with a Kindle purchase, your account won’t be eligible for this deal.

I pay month to month. I get so annoyed that there aren’t any discounts for those who are loyal customers – makes me want to join those exiting the Amazon ecosystem. I already use a Boox Palms 2 instead of my paperwhite.
