Kobo has released some new limited edition cases for the Kobo Libra Colour and Kobo Clara models that they’re calling “collector” cases. They just got released today, and they have a couple different floral patterns available for each model.
The Kobo Libra Colour collector case is selling for $39.99 and the collector case for the Kobo Clara BW and Colour is selling for $29.99, so they’re the same price as Kobo’s regular covers, which is nice.
They’re also doing a limited time promotion where customers can get this Patio Lanterns ebook by Barbara Kellyn for free with the purchase of a new case.
So far the new collector cases only appear to be available directly from Kobo’s website, and the description says they are an “online exclusive”, but they do offer free shipping.
Kobo also just put the Kobo Libra Colour on sale again for $199 for their Mother’s Day Sale. That’s $30 off the regular price. It’s the exact same sale they did last month; it’s kind of unusual for Kobo to do the same sale twice in one month, and it’s been a couple months since they put the Clara Colour on sale, and I don’t think the Clara BW has been on sale since December. Why does the Libra go on sale way more often than the Clara?
Kobo has a deal on the 10.3″ Kobo Elipsa 2E as well. It’s not on sale, but it does come with a free sleepcover when purchased from Kobo’s website. The sleepcover sells for $69.99 so it’s a pretty significant discount if you look at it that way.
Kobo’s Mothers Day sale ends on May 7th, according to their website. They’ll probably add some ebooks to the sale too, and maybe a discount on gift cards as Mother’s Day gets closer.
