New Covers for Nook Touch from M-Edge and Oberon

August 12, 2011 by Nathan

Oberon Cover

Earlier in the week, M-Edge issued a press release announcing that they now have covers and accessories available for the Nook Touch. M-Edge is one of the leading designers for ereader and tablet cases.

M-Edge offers four different styles of covers designed specifically for the Nook Touch. What’s nice is that the covers use a four point mounting system to hold the Nook in place without the straps over the front like some of the other brands.

The most popular cover is the Executive Jacket, which sells for $39.99. It comes in purple and black. The other three designs sell for $34.99. There’s the GO! cover that comes in red, pink, and carbon fiber black. The Trip jacket has a strap to hold the cover closed. It comes in pink, purple, and navy blue, and is treated with ScotchGard to repel crud. Then there’s the Latitude Jacket, which is a zippered case. It’s not a sleeve because it holds the Nook in place with the mounting plates. It comes in black, navy blue, and teal.

Aside from the covers made specifically for the Nook, M-Edge also sells sleeves that work with a variety of ereaders for $20-$30. They also sell a reading light called the e-Luminator Touch for $20.

M-Edge products are sold from major retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Staples. They sell online from Amazon.com as well (big surprise).

Oberon Design also started selling their unique brand of leather covers for the Nook Touch this past week. If you haven’t seen Oberon’s covers before, that’s one pictured at the top of this post. There are several different designs and colors choices to choose from.

If you want to see more covers for the Nook, here’s the link to the Nook Touch Covers page. It consists of a long list of covers, cases, and skins from various vendors across the web, and includes lots of pictures of covers and skins. It is one of those shopping type pages that uses affiliate links and advertising to help fund The eBook Reader.com.
