Prime Day 2018 officially kicks off at noon pacific time today and runs for 36 hours, but Amazon has already put their lineup of devices on sale, including the Kindle Paperwhite for $79, the Kindle for $49, and Fire tablets start at $29.
Onyx also has the 10.3-inch Onyx Boox Note and the 13.3-inch Boox Max2 deeply discounted for Prime Day. If you buy either make sure to add the screen protector to your cart as well—it’s free as part of the promotion—to avoid damaging the screen.
It’s worth noting that the deals on the Boox ereaders is not Prime exclusive, but Prime members can get an additional 5% off the sale prices.
Currently Amazon only has the Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite on sale for Prime Day.
That’s rather odd considering the Kindle Oasis 2 was just on sale the other day for $199, and they recently had the Voyage marked down to $149 for a few weeks. Perhaps they’ll get added as lightning deals later in the day. Keep an eye on the Amazon Device Deals section throughout Prime Day for new deals. If I notice them on sale I’ll update this post.

FWIW I got the HD10 on the 1-day $99 deal a few weeks ago. I didn’t expect it to measure up to my HDX8.9 but for the price I’m very happy with it…
I just wanted to share that if you ever have a Kindle promotion awarded to you and it expires, contact Kindle support. I had a $50 off promotion good towards a Paperwhite and it expired last December. (6 months ago) I figured “What the heck?” and chatted with a support person. Yep, they gave me a $50 credit! It’s not tied to a Paperwhite purchase, but that is what I used it on. I am super impressed that they would even do this!
