Get 20% Off When Buying 2 Kindles, Plus $39 Kindle Deal

January 14, 2021 by Nathan Groezinger

Kindle Sale

Kindles are on sale at Amazon once again, but it’s not a typical sale that takes $30-40 off the regular price like most Kindle sales.

This offer requires buying two Kindles to get 20% off the total price. It applies to all the Kindle models that Amazon sells new, except the Kids Kindle, and it does not work if you choose to add 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free.

This can be either a really good deal or a lukewarm deal depending on how it’s used.

If you buy two of the most expensive Kindle models that Amazon sells (the 32GB Kindle Oasis with cellular connectivity) you can save $140. But if you’re only buying two entry-level Kindles for $89 each then the savings only amount to about $36, which is less than a typical Kindle sale when they’re $30 off for one.

According to the terms and conditions, the offer expires on February 2nd.

I don’t have a trade-in to confirm, but you can usually combine Amazon’s 20% off trade-in deal with sale prices so if you have an old Kindle to trade-in you can probably get an even bigger discount.

On a related note, the $39 Kindle deal is back at Woot. They are refurbished but that’s a great price for the current entry-level Kindle with a frontlight. They have both black and white versions available.

Woot still has the Kindle Oasis 2 on sale as well. They are in new condition and start at $149 for the 8GB model.
