Kobo has a Fan Fave Contest going on right now until October 31st where you can enter to win a Kobo Libra Colour bundle or a $300 Kobo eGift card.
The great part is entering the contest is super easy and it only takes a few seconds. All you have to do is sign in with a Kobo account and vote for a top ebook from a list of 25 popular ebooks that came out in 2025. Kobo VIP members get 5 bonus entries automatically when voting.
There are some stipulations in the terms and conditions on the bottom of the contest entry page worth checking out. The biggest thing is the contest is only open to residents of Canada and the USA, and you have to be 18 years old or older to enter.
Kobo is giving away 3 grand prizes, and each grand prize includes a Kobo Libra Colour, a Kobo Stylus 2, a Kobo Libra Colour case, and a $200 Kobo eGift card. They’re also giving away 20 $300 Kobo eGift cards to bonus prize winners.
Kobo’s gift cards can be used toward the purchase of any ebooks and audiobooks sold by Kobo.
It’s cool to see Kobo doing a contest like this; I don’t remember them doing something like this before. But I don’t know if they really thought the contest through. People who haven’t read any of the books are still going to vote to get a chance to win a $300 eGift card or a Kobo Libra Colour bundle worth a total of $539.97.
I’ve only read one book on the list and I didn’t think it was that great, so I don’t really want to vote for it. But I haven’t read any of the other books so how can I vote for them? It’s a conundrum. I guess I should read some of the other books on the list. Or I could just vote blindly like most people are going to do. 😀
