There are some good deals on older Kindle ereaders and Fire tablets at Woot as part of their main Deal of the Day, and the sale runs until November 23rd. Some of these older cheap Kindles are nice to have for backups, and for those that want to still be able to get their purchased ebooks off of Kindles for backup.
All the Kindles and Fire tablets on sale at Woot that are part of the deal are also eligible for an extra $5 off when using code FIREFIVE during checkout. The code is only valid once per customer, and it expires on 11/22/25 at 11:58pm CT.
Some Kindles are selling for as little as $29.99 with the coupon, and there’s a Fire HD 8 going for $19.99 with the coupon. Some are listed as “Amazon Refurbished, and some are “scratch and dent”.
One of the more recent models is the 2022 Kindle. It can be had for $64.99 with the coupon. It’s almost exactly the same as the current model that Amazon sells for $109.99, and it’s even considered the same generation.
One of the better deals is the 10th gen Kindle in white for $29.99 with the coupon. It’s the only one listed in “like new” condition, and I forgot Amazon offered that model in white—that was the last one. White ereaders are becoming popular now so maybe Amazon will bring the color back someday. It’s kind of nice…
The 10th gen Kindle Paperwhite can be had for as little as $29.99 too, and it has some upgrades over the white Kindle listed above, including more storage space, waterproofing, and a higher resolution screen (that’s somewhat obscured by a cloudy frontlayer).
Woot also has the previous gen Kindle Paperwhite from 2021, which is nicer than the 10th gen model, but they’re already sold out of the cheaper 16GB version and the Signature Edition model is $109.99, which isn’t a great price considering you can get a current gen SE Paperwhite for $126.99 in like new condition from Amazon.
They have the 1st gen Kindle Scribe available too, and it starts at $199.99 for the 16GB model, which is slightly cheaper than it’s selling for at Amazon ($212.99). The 32GB version is $219.99 and the 64GB model is $249.99. If you want a cheap large-screen Kindle with stylus support this is the time to get one because the new Kindle Scribes cost a fortune.
