11th Gen Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition On Sale for $80

January 21, 2026 by Nathan Groezinger Leave a Comment

Kindle Woot Sale

If you’re looking to get a good deal on a new Kindle, Woot has the previous gen Kindle Paperwhite on sale for $129.99, and you can use code VDAY during checkout to get an extra $20 off, but the code expires on 1/22/26 at 11:58pm CT so you have to act fast.

Update: This deal is already dead (typical Woot), but they added an Amazon refurbished 11th gen Paperwhite for $99, and you can use code DEVICES20 during checkout to get an extra 20% off. The code expires on 1/23/26 at 11:58pm CT.

Shipping is free for Amazon Prime members. Otherwise shipping is like $6. Either way that’s a good price for a Signature Edition Paperwhite in new condition, even if it is an older model. The current SE Paperwhite sells for $199 so this one is almost half the price, and the features are nearly identical, although I don’t think Amazon ever added double-tap page-turns to the 11th gen model.

I would definitely choose this over the current basic Kindle for $109. The Paperwhite has a larger screen, better build quality, it’s waterproof, it has double the storage space, it adds a frontlight with adjustable color temperature along with an auto-brightness sensor, it doesn’t have lockscreen ads, it supports wireless charging, and the battery life is about double that of the basic model.

The only real negative is Kindles purchased on Woot only come with a 90-day warranty instead of the standard 1-year warranty, but Kindles are usually pretty reliable if you take care of them.

Some people like the frontlight better on the 11th gen Paperwhite than the newer 12th gen model because it tends to have a whiter tone without the warm setting, but frontlights vary so much from one to the next you never really know what you’re going to get. The newer Paperwhite does have slightly better contrast if that’s important to you. See my Kindle Paperwhite Comparison Review for a closer look.

If you’d rather get the newer 12th gen Paperwhite, Amazon still has like-new Paperwhites on sale starting at $114.99. The Signature Edition is $143.99.
