Amazon has the latest waterproof Kindle Paperwhite model on sale for $89. They are certified refurbished units that come with the same 1 year warranty as new Kindles.
Prime members also get an additional 10% off, taking the price down to $80.99 for the 8GB model with Special Offers (ads on the homescreen and lockscreen).
The regular price is $129 so that’s a pretty big discount.
They also have the 32GB version available refurbished for $109 without Prime and $98.99 with Prime.
The regular price of the 32GB model is $159, so again that’s a pretty good deal going with a refurbished unit instead of a new one.
Of course if you’d rather have a new Kindle you can just wait for the next sale and the prices will probably be similar to the current refurbished prices.
Amazon has some other deals on refurbished and pre-owned devices as well. For instance, Prime members can get a refurbished Fire HD 10 tablet for $90.
There are some deals on older refurbished Kindles at Woot as well. They have the Kindle Voyage for $89, along with 1st and 2nd gen Kindle Paperwhites for $40-$50.

The worst Kindle ever made in the new Paperwhite with the terrible screen for the same price as the best Kindle ever made in the Voyage with the sharpest screen. Easy choice.

It’s sad to see the Voyage being replaced with that inferior model of Paperwhite.
Sportbike Mike says
It’s not a replacement for the Voyage. The Oasis did that. This is a replacement for the PW3.

What I have noticed is that Kobo demand has gone way up as well as Kobo prices on eBay. It seems like ever since the Paperwhite 4 was released people were disappointed and started flooding for alternatives. The whole Kobo lineup has seen price increases of about $30 on eBay.
