Amazon has rolled out some Father’s Day Deals with some deep discounts on Amazon’s products, including the Kindle Scribe.
None of the other Kindles are on sale, but the 16GB and 32GB versions of the Kindle Scribe are both marked down, and the sale prices match the lowest prices ever from last November and this past Mother’s Day. Here are the list of deals:
Kindle Scribe Sales
- Kindle Scribe 16GB – $239.99 ($100 off)
- Kindle Scribe 16GB + Premium Pen – $264.99 ($105 off)
- Kindle Scribe 32GB – $279.99 ($110 off)
- Kindle Scribe Bundles – up to $150 off
Amazon is also giving an additional $40 off when purchasing two Kindle Scribes at the same time, and you can also get an extra 20% off by trading in an old Kindle, even if it’s broken and doesn’t work.
Once again the 64GB version isn’t on sale. That’s interesting because they didn’t put it on sale last time either when the other models were marked down for Mother’s Day. Surprisingly, the 64GB model is the best selling version so I guess they figure they don’t need to put it on sale as often, but it certainly isn’t worth paying $140 extra just for an additional 32GB, especially on a Kindle where you’re never going to need that much storage space.
You can also get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free with the purchase of the Kindle Scribe. Just remember to cancel before the 3 months is up if you don’t want Amazon to automatically start charging $11.99 per month for a Kindle Unlimited membership.
See my Kindle Scribe review for a list of pros and cons and for a rundown of the features and what to expect. They’ve updated the software since the review was posted so there are some additional features now, and most are related to how notebooks work. The Kindle Scribe still isn’t as advanced as some other eNotes out there, but the reading experience is really good.

There’s a caveat about the free Kindle unlimited. A couple months ago I bought the scribe and got the free 3-month KU. Then a month or 2 later I bought a new 6.8 PW. They didn’t include the KU, which I thought would be added to the other KU. I called and was told you could have only one at a time. One needs to find a magnifying glass to read that. I said it would be nice if they would put this where people might see it.
Rod says
Maybe not back to back. But I was able to get the free trail several times, even with the recent three months trial.
Mary says
Yeah, I do that too. Bought these close together and assumed the free KU offer would attach to the end of the first.
