Last month Amazon had a deal where new and returning subscribers could get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free, and now the deal is back again so you might want to check it out if you missed the last one.
Just head over to the main Kindle Unlimited landing page at Amazon to see if your account is eligible for the offer.
I’ve seen this deal pop up several different places today, and most people seem to be having success redeeming it, but it’s one of those deals that’s account-dependant so it’s not available for everyone (I’m just seeing the regular 30-day free trial even though I didn’t activate last month’s offer).
These kind of deals don’t work if you have an active Kindle Unlimited membership, but if you haven’t subscribed to Kindle Unlimited before or if you canceled some time ago you have a chance of getting the deal.
Amazon stopped doing these 3 months for free deals for a while, but it’s good to see they’ve started doing them again. There was a time when you could string free and deeply-discounted deals like this together for many months without having to pay more than a few bucks, but it’s been harder to do that in recent years.
I also noticed that Amazon recently raised the prices of their Kindle Unlimited Gift Subscriptions, and they’re no longer as good of a deal as they used to be, especially the 24-month option. But at least they’re still offering some deals on Kindle Unlimited.
If you take advantage of this Kindle Unlimited deal, one thing to remember, Amazon will automatically start charging the regular price of $11.99 per month after the free 3 months ends, but you can cancel before then to avoid the charge. In fact, you can cancel immediately after getting the free 3 months without losing access to KU during that time.
With a Kindle Unlimited membership you get access to over 4 million Kindle ebooks (and probably at least half of those aren’t AI generated garbage), along with several thousand audiobooks, and some magazines and comicbooks. You can access the Kindle Unlimited library using Kindle ereaders and free Kindle apps.
