PocketBook eReaders and Cases On Sale for Black Friday

November 26, 2025 by Nathan Groezinger 3 Comments

PocketBook Black Friday Sales

PocketBook has added some coupon discounts for their line of ereaders and the cases that go with them on their official Amazon store for Black Friday week.

This time the sales are on their smaller models, the Era, the Basic Lux 4, the four different Verse models, and InkPad Color. Some of the cases are $5-$10 off as well. For some reason their larger eNotes aren’t being discounted, at least not yet.

PocketBooks are a popular alternative to Kindles and Kobos, especially for those that like having page turn buttons, as most of their models have them. Some have microSD card slots as well. They support EPUB ebooks, among a number of other formats, so you can buy ebooks from anywhere that sells standard Adobe EPUBs. PocketBooks support installing KOReader too if you prefer that to the built-in reading software. PocketBook recently announced that they will be adding a Libby app to their devices too to download library ebooks directly to them.

PocketBook eReaders Black Friday Sales List

Below is the list of deals on Pocketbook’s ereaders. Some of their covers are on sale for a few bucks off as well but I’m not going to link to them directly. The full list of deals can be found on the PocketBook store at Amazon.

PocketBook Basic Lux 4 – $107.10: This is Pocketbook’s least expensive basic model. It has a 6-inch E Ink screen with 212 ppi, and it has a frontlight but without temperature control. It has page buttons, a microSD card slot, there’s 8GB of storage, and it has an older microUSB port.

PocketBook Verse Lite – $112.50: This is Pocketbook’s latest basic model. It has a 6″ E Ink screen with 212 ppi. It’s similar to the model below minus the page-turn buttons and warm frontlight.

PocketBook Verse – $125.10: Another 6-inch model with 212 ppi and 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It has Pocketbook’s newer design and a USB-C port, and it has a frontlight with adjustable color temperature.

PocketBook Verse Pro – $170.10: Same as the model above except it has a 300 ppi screen, it adds audio support, and it’s waterproof, but it lacks the memory card slot.

PocketBook Verse Pro Color – $165.50: It’s similar to the other Verse models except it has a 6″ color E Ink screen instead of a BW screen. It’s a good alternative to the Kobo Clara Colour if you want page buttons and text-to-speech support. I also think the build quality is a bit nicer.

PocketBook Era – $224.10: A Kindle Oasis clone with a 7-inch E Ink Carta 1200 screen. It’s waterproof and supports TTS, with 16GB of storage space.

PocketBook Era Color – $242.10: Similar to the model above but with a 7″ Kaleido 3 color E Ink screen. It’s waterproof and supports TTS, and it has 32GB of storage space.

PocketBook InkPad Color 3 – $293.25: This has a 7.8-inch color E Ink screen with page buttons below the screen. It does not have a memory card slot despite the description saying it supports external storage. Pocketbook’s waterproof models don’t have microSD card slots.

It’s worth noting that the Verse Basic — not the Verse Light, Verse Pro or Verse Color — continues to be the only Linux-based e-reader (of any brand) supporting 128 GB of storage.

That — combined with a bunch of awesome UI advantages that PB offers over Kobo, Kindle, Nook et. al — has made the Verse Basic my GOAT; way better than even the high-end e-readers — Oasis, Forma, Aura One, Voyage — that I’ve owned.

    This is a seriously-great device at a seriously-great price.

“External storage” refers to USB-OTG support on Pocketbook. USB-C flashdrives and other compatible storage devices will work.
