Amazon is running a holiday deal on Kindle Unlimited subscriptions again where you can get 3 months for $0.99. But, like usual, it’s not available if you already have an active subscription or if you claimed a similar deal recently.
To see if your account qualifies for the offer, you can check the main landing page for Kindle Unlimited on Amazon’s website and it will show if the 3 months for $0.99 offer is redeemable. If not, it’ll just show the regular $11.99 per month option.
These deals are generally marketed to new subscribers, but they are often available to returning subscribers too if it’s been a while since you last subscribed.
If you’re getting a new Kindle that comes with 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free, and your account is eligible for this 3 months for $0.99 deal, you’ll want to activate this deal first because it won’t be available after you redeem the free 3 months offer. The 3 months that comes with Kindles stacks with active subscriptions, unlike this current offer.
Amazon also sells Kindle Unlimited Gift Subscriptions that stack with active memberships. You can purchase 6, 12, and 24-month subscriptions and email them as gifts, and some people redeem them on their own accounts. The prices aren’t as low as they used to be, but it still works out less than paying monthly at $11.99 per month.
If you take advantage of this 3 months for $0.99 deal, take note that Amazon will automatically start charging your account the full $11.99 per month price after the 3 months ends, but you can cancel Kindle Unlimited at anytime before then to avoid the charge. Even if you cancel immediately after subscribing you’ll still get access to Kindle Unlimited for the full 3 months.
