It looks like the latest Kindle Oasis 3 with a warm frontlight is going to be unavailable from Amazon for the next several weeks.
All sub-models of the Kindle Oasis 3 are currently listed as out of stock for the next 4-8 weeks in the United States, with most models being out of stock for 5-8 weeks.
Even the international version of the Kindle Oasis is listed as out of stock until April 22nd; the international 4G Kindle Oasis is the only version still in stock.
Amazon’s estimates are often on the conservative side so they might get more in before then, but that remains to be seen.
The entry-level Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite are still mostly in stock, with just a couple of sub-models unavailable, so the shortage seems to be limited to the Kindle Oasis for now.
The coronavirus outbreak is expected to cause all kinds of delays across the electronics industry so this kind of thing isn’t surprising, but it is rather odd to see Amazon’s flagship Kindle out of circulation for the next 4-8 weeks.
Best Buy still has the 32GB Kindle Oasis listed as in stock on their website, but the cheaper 8GB version is sold out.
