Kindles Now On Sale for Cyber Monday

November 23, 2023 by Nathan 6 Comments

Kindle Black Friday Sale

Amazon has finally put the Kindle, the Kindle Paperwhite, and the Kindle Oasis on sale for Black Friday, and then as soon as Saturday hits they usually transition the same sales into Cyber Monday weekend.

This year the deals aren’t as good as usual. The Kindle Scribe is still on sale for the lowest price since it was released, but other Kindles aren’t being discounted as much as usual—it’s kind of weird. In fact, most Kindle sales throughout the year had lower prices than this. Black Friday isn’t what it once was, that’s for sure…

But if you have an old Kindle that you don’t want to use anymore you can trade it in to get an additional 20% off the sale price of a new Kindle. Even if it’s broken Amazon will give you a $5 credit and 20% off.

Some of Amazon’s official Kindle covers on sale as well, and Amazon still has the 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for $1 deal up so you can get a discounted Kindle Unlimited subscription started if you don’t already have one.

See the Black Friday Deals page at Amazon for an updated list of deals. If they add anything new for Cyber Monday I’ll post about it, but they don’t usually change anything over the weekend once the deals are set.

You’re right about Black Friday. The only thing that Amazon did for most items was remove the coupon discounts and added a limited time Black Friday deal label.
In most cases, it’s basically the same price as it has been throughout the year. They also are deceiving people as far as the total discount because they are discounting items % based on retail price, so it seems like you’re getting a great deal but we all know Amazon never sells anything for retail price.

Unrelated, but does anyone know if there’s a way to have books fully download to a kindle automatically?

I’ve finally had enough of having to wait for them to download when I tap on the cover. I thought the whole point of having them sync to the kindle in the background was so they would be there when you wanted them.

You can set a default Kindle from the manage your devices page at Amazon to have new books sent to it automatically, if that’s what you mean.

The books are “sent” to my Paperwhite already. The problem is that the books then have to download fully when I try to open them

Stacked the 20% trade-in discount and 20% cashback at Retailmenot for Amazon devices, and bought the cheapest Scribe. I’m still unsure if I’ll actually prefer reading on it versus my trusty Voyage, but I was willing to take a flyer at that price.

I love my Scribe compared to my 3g Oasis and 11g PW. Half as many delays for page turning and twice (and then some) as long battery life. If it only had page turn buttons.
