Select Kindle and Kobo Models on Sale Again for the Holidays

December 10, 2023 by Nathan Groezinger Leave a Comment

Kobo eReaders Sale

If you missed out on the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, some Kindles and Kobo ereaders are on sale again for the holiday shopping season.

Amazon has the Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Scribe marked down, but not the entry-level Kindle or the Kindle Oasis, and the prices aren’t as low as they were before but it’s still better than paying full price and you can always get an extra 20% off if you have an old Kindle to trade-in. You can also get an additional $40 off when buying two Kindle Scribes.

Here’s the list of Kindles on sale (bundle packages are marked down too):

  • Kindle Paperwhite – $124.99
  • Kindle Paperwhite Kids – $144.99
  • Kindle Scribe – $269.99

Kobo has a couple of their ereaders on sale too, and the sale prices are valid until December 21st. Both the Kobo Clara 2E and the Kobo Libra 2 are $20 off.

Interestingly, they didn’t put the Kobo Libra 2 on sale for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, and it was the only current model they didn’t put on sale so it’s good to see it marked down now too.

  • Kobo Clara 2E – $119.99
  • Kobo Libra 2 – $169.99

Kobo still has their holiday gift card deal ongoing until January 5th as well, where you can get $10 back when buying a $50 egift card.

There’s also a deal on an ereader with a color E Ink screen from PocketBook at Amazon. The PocketBook InkPad Color 2 is marked down from $329 to $269. This model was only on the market for a few months before it was replaced by the InkPad Color 3. Both models are exactly the same except the InkPad Color 2 has a previous generation color E Ink screen. Is the new color screen worth an extra $60? Probably not, but it does have slightly better color quality and higher resolution for color (150 ppi instead of 100 ppi on the InkPad Color 2).
