Kobo is currently running a sale on a couple of their ereaders and eNotes so if you’ve been waiting to get a large-screen Kobo now is a good time.
They have the 8-inch Kobo Sage marked down to $239.99 and the 10.3-inch Kobo Elipsa 2E is $349.99. Both double as ereaders and eNotes. However, the Kobo Sage doesn’t come with a Kobo Stylus so one has to be purchased separately if you want to use it to take notes.
Here are sales links at Amazon:
Kobo Sage – $239 ($30 off)
Kobo Elipsa 2E – $349 ($50 off)
This is only the second time that Kobo has put the Kobo Elipsa 2E on sale since it was released a year ago. They probably could have picked a better time considering it’s still $110 more expensive than the Kindle Scribe while it’s also on sale for Mother’s Day (Kobo must really hate Amazon’s lower prices).
Here’s the link to my Kobo Elipsa 2E review if you want to learn more about Kobo’s 10-inch notetaking ereader.
The Kobo Sage is a good alterative to the Kobo Libra 2 now that it’s no longer available if you prefer a black and white ereader with buttons over the new Kobo Libra Colour, but the new color model is still $20 cheaper.
The Kobo Sage has a 300 ppi screen and a frontlight with temperature control, it has 32GB of storage space, a quad-core CPU, it supports dual-band WiFi, there’s Bluetooth for streaming audiobooks, and it’s waterproof (IPX8 rated).
