Amazon has brought back their Kindle Unlimited deal where Prime members can get 3 months for free. It’s been 3 months since the last time they did this deal so if you claimed that offer then this one is probably coming along just at the right time.
Like usual, this deal does not apply to active subscriptions, but if you’re a returning subscriber or if you’ve never used Kindle Unlimited before, your account is likely eligible for this promotion, as long as your an Amazon Prime member with a US-based account.
To take advantage of this deal, just head over to the Kindle Unlimited page at Amazon to see if your account is eligible for the offer.
Even if you don’t have Prime you might see some other deal. I recently saw a 3 month deal for a few bucks a month.
This current offer runs from September 16th through October 9th, the last day of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event.
Amazon stopped offering these free Kindle Unlimited deals for a while, but this is at least the 3rd time this year this has come up so they’ve started doing them more often again. You can also get 3 months free when buying a new Kindle, and that offer stacks with existing subscriptions.
If you choose to redeem this Kindle Unlimited deal, keep in mind that Amazon will automatically start charging the regular price of $11.99 per month after the free 3 months ends, but you can cancel at anytime before then to avoid the charge. If you cancel early you still get access to Kindle Unlimited for the full 3 months.
A Kindle Unlimited membership grants access to a library of over 4 million Kindle ebooks, which also includes several thousand audiobooks, and some magazines and comicbooks too. You can access the Kindle Unlimited library using Kindle ereaders and free Kindle apps.

Hmmm, hope it unlocks for me, my use of last offer just expired the other day and seems they’re not going to let me back on the mooching train so soon.
Mary says
Same with me.

It does not work for me. Last month, there was a two months free trial offer but I was busy. That one disappeared very soon.
Lois says
It’s showing $11.99 per month for me. I guess my most recent free trial was too recent to qualify.
Claude says
Thanks. I never tried it. I will now.

I just spoke to a kindle guy. He said that this isn’t an Amazon offer and isn’t valid. I told him that Nathan seems to have Amazon connections and is always right in his offers. I also received, today, the same offer via Business Insider. So I don’t know what is going on.
Nathan says
This was something Amazon specifically advertised for Prime members on their list of deals in the US, but technically it says for “eligible” Prime members so I guess they only honor it on a limited basis.
