If you’re looking to score an eNote or a large-screen ereader for cheap, the Kindle Scribe is on sale again, and with a price of $325 it’s significantly less expensive than other 10″ ereaders and eNotes.
Plus there are a couple of ways to get an even bigger discount. You can get an extra $40 off when purchasing two Kindle Scribes, and you can always get an additional 20% off with a trade-in, even during sales like this to take the price even lower.
Only the newer Kindle Scribe 2 is on sale this time; the 1st Kindle Scribe is still full price so it’s more expensive than the newer version by a wide margin. None of Amazon’s covers or bundle packages are on sale either this time around—just the Kindle Scribe 2.
You also have the option to get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free when purchasing the Kindle Scribe, which normally costs $11.99 per month.
Amazon recently added some new notetaking features to the Kindle Scribe. You can now add notes to the margins within ebooks by opening a side panel. Or you can write directly in books and have the text wrap around your notes. They introduced some AI tools awhile back as well that can summarize your notes and refine your handwritten notes to a script font to improve readability.
A lot of people are into jailbreaking Kindles lately too, and running KOReader for reading EPUBs and better PDF support. If you want to jailbreak the Kindle Scribe then you’ll need to do that first thing before it updates to the most recent software version, 5.18.1, which can’t be jailbroken yet. It was just released a few weeks ago so it’s most likely not installed from the factory at this point.
Kindle Scribe Sales
Kindle Scribe 16GB – $324.99 ($75 off)
Kindle Scribe 32GB – $339.99 ($80 off)
Kindle Scribe 64GB – $364.99 ($85 off)
My guess is that the Scribes aren’t selling. There seem to have been a lot of sales on them.
