Onyx Boox eReaders and eNotes on Sale at Amazon

July 9, 2025 by Nathan Groezinger Leave a Comment

Boox Palma 2 Sale

Onyx rarely ever puts their Boox devices on sale unless they’ve been replaced by a newer model, and they never do Prime Day sales. That’s why I was surprised to see several Boox devices on sale at Amazon during Prime week.

They aren’t technically Prime Day sales because a Prime membership isn’t required to take advantage of the sale prices. Some of the models aren’t even showing an “on-sale” banner, but the prices are lower than purchasing from other outlets, even directly from Onyx’s US warehouse, so it looks like these sales are exclusive to Amazon.

I don’t know how long these deals will last. They already sold out the 1st gen Boox Go 7 Color that was $50 off, but maybe it’ll come back since it’s still in stock elsewhere.

Onyx has a really annoying habit of creating multiple listings for the same products on Amazon. If you find one of the links below showing it’s not available, try checking Onyx’s storefront page on Amazon for alternate listings.

Boox Devices On Sale at Amazon

Boox Palma 2 – Onyx’s phone-shaped ereader is on sale for $269, which is $30 off the regular price. The white version is also on sale for the same price. The Palma 2 has a 6.13″ E Ink screen, but with a narrower ratio than most 6″ ereaders so it easily fits in a pocket like a phone. See my Boox Palma 2 review for a rundown on the specs and features, and to watch a video review of it in action. This is one of my favorite Boox models; I wish more companies sold ereaders like this.

Boox Note Max – This is Onyx’s latest 13.3″ monochrome eNote. It’s on sale for $629, which is $60 off the regular price. It has a Carta 1300 screen with 300 ppi and BSR for faster refreshing. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and it runs Android 13. Unlike Onyx’s new 13.3″ color model, the Boox Tab X, it does not have a frontlight, but it does have a superior Wacom touchscreen for notetaking.

Note Air 4C – This is one of the models that’s not showing that it’s on sale, but at $509 the price is $20 lower that it was last week on Amazon, and it’s $20 less than ordering directly from Onyx’s US warehouse, so it looks like it’s on sale to me. The Note Air 4C has a 10.3″ color E Ink screen, and it seems to be Onyx’s most popular eNote model.

Boox Go 10.3 – This is Onyx’s latest 10.3″ monochrome model. They were just selling it for $409 last week, but now it’s down to $399 on Amazon. It lacks a frontlight and it doesn’t have BSR for faster refreshing like the Note Air 4C and larger Max models, but it has a really nice 300 ppi screen with excellent contrast without the added light layer. See my Boox Go 10.3 review for a closer look.
