The good news is Kobo has some Black Friday deals on the Kobo Libra Colour, the Kobo Elipsa 2E and some digital products. The bad news is neither of the Clara models are included in the deals, and that seems to be the same story regardless of what country you’re buying from.
In the US, the Kobo Libra Colour is marked down to $199.99 from $229.99. The bundle packages are also $30 off, but they only appear to be available from Amazon, as Kobo doesn’t sell bundles on their website. Here’s the full list of Libra Colour sales:
Kobo Libra Colour – $199.99 ($30 off)
Kobo Libra Colour Case Bundle – $228.99 ($31 off)
Kobo Libra Colour Case + Stylus Bundle – $308.99 ($31 off)
Unfortunately Kobo doesn’t have their overpriced stylus on sale for Black Friday, but compatible Metapens are currently on sale for under $30 at Amazon.
The Kobo Elipsa 2E is the only other Kobo device on sale for Black Friday. It’s $50 off at $349.99, which really isn’t a great deal compared to other eNotes on the market. Kobo will still be trying to get rid of these 5 years from now if that’s best price they can muster. The Kindle Scribe 2 is currently $70 cheaper and it has a better screen, a better stylus, and nicer build quality. But Kobo has some advantages over Kindles.
The sleepcover for the Elipsa 2E is also on sale, but only from Kobo’s website. The regular price is $69.99, but right now it can be had for $46.89.
Some cases for previous gen Kobos are on sale for cheap too. The Kobo Nia Sleepcover is half price at $9.99, and the Kobo Clara 2E Sleepcover is $12.99, marked down from $29.99. The Kobo Sage PowerCover with a bulit-in battery is $30 off at $49.99, but I think it’s been that price for a while.
