Kindle Paperwhite Refurbs $79, 1st Gen Kindle Oasis $179

January 16, 2018 by Nathan

White Kindle Paperwhite

Amazon has certified refurbished Kindle Paperwhites on sale again for $79. That’s the same price they were going for over Black Friday and the busy holiday shopping season.

The base Kindle Paperwhite sells for $119 normally so the refurbished units are like getting $40 off the regular price.

Most refurbished Kindles are in like new condition so they’re a good option if you want to save some money.

Plus certified refurbished Kindles come with the same 1-year warranty as new Kindles.

Compared to the entry-level $79 Kindle for the same price, the Paperwhite refurbs are a much better choice.

The Kindle Paperwhite’s 300 ppi E Ink Carta screen looks ten times better than the low resolution older Pearl screen on the basic Kindle, and the Paperwhite includes a frontlight.

Amazon also continues to offer the 1st gen Kindle Oasis for $179 refurbished. It’s available with the black and walnut covers.

Amazon has some other refurbished devices on sale as well, and there are a couple of refurbished Fire tablets at Woot for $20-$30.

    Seems to be US only.

Bought several refurbished devices before: an lcd monitor, two gps devices, a tablet. All my refurbs have looked and worked like new, and never had a problem with them.

I would easily buy a refurbed e-reader, although the two e-readers I have right now work perfectly.
