Bigme recently released a new portable E Ink monitor with a 13.3″ color E Ink display called the Bigme B13 (another creative and memorable model name from Bigme).
Like all current Kaleiod 3 color E Ink screens, the Bigme B13 supports 300 ppi for black and white and 150 ppi for color. It has a resolution of 3200 x 2400. It’s equipped with a frontlight too, which is pretty much a requirement to comfortably use color E Ink.
They claim it can hit 30 FPS with their proprietary refresh tech and play video and animation “smoother”.
For connectivity, the Bigme B13 has a mini-HDMi port and two USB-C ports, and it also supports wireless casting (DLNA, AirPlay, and Miracast). It has two external speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, an aluminum alloy body, and it comes with a remote and a cover.
The B13 monitor is compatible with Windows and Mac computers, along with Android and iOS tablets and phones. There are reports of it working on Linux as well.
The Bigme B13 is listed on Amazon for $729 with free shipping, but the shipping date is currently several weeks out.
It’s also available to purchase direct from Bigme’s website for ¥5,010.99, but it ships from China so that might add some additional fees.
Bigme also sells a 25.3″ color E Ink monitor, the Bigme B251, but it’s really expensive at $1659. This new Bigme B13 model is a smaller and more portable version.
Very few companies are selling E Ink monitors in 2025. Dasung is the one company that has been selling E Ink monitors for several years now, and they currently sell a few different models. Onyx has released a few E Ink monitors over the years too, but it seems like they’ve petered out on that market—their Mira monitors aren’t available anymore.
