A couple weeks ago I posted a list of Amazon Prime’s Kindle related benefits, and I noted how it’s easy to forget about Kindle First (at least for me it is), so I figured I’d post a reminder for this month.
Kindle First gives Amazon Prime members early access to a list of six ebooks each month where you can choose one for free. Non-Prime members can choose one at a discounted price of $1.99.
The ebooks are brand new and don’t get officially released until next month.
It’s a good way to get early access to new books and find new authors.
The books can be download and read on any Kindle, Fire tablet or Kindle app.
You get to keep the Kindle First ebooks; they don’t have to be returned like Prime ebooks or ebooks that you download through the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library.
You can also get access to all of the Kindle First ebooks through Kindle Unlimited once they get released.
If you’re like me and forgot about the Kindle First ebooks each month, Amazon has the option to sign-up for a monthly newsletter to get an email when the new list of titles become available.

Then why when I choose one does it bring me to a place that says it’s now $1.99?
