Onyx has started rolling out a new software update for their line of Boox ereaders and eNotes, and the update is applicable for most models released over the past few years.
Here’s the full list Boox devices that are now getting the 4.0 update, according to Onyx:
Go 10.3, Go Color 7, Go 6
Note Max, Note Air4 C, Note Air3, Note Air3 C, Note Air2 Plus, Note Air2, Note 5
Tab X, Tab Ultra C Pro, Tab Ultra C, Tab Ultra, Tab Mini C
Page, Poke4 Lite, Poke5, Poke5 Lite
Palma 2, Palma
Nova Air2, Nova Air C
Max Lumi 2
Leaf2
Onyx tends to release updates in batches so you might not be able to get the update just yet. I tried to download the update on my Go Color 7 and it says it’s on the latest version available, even though it’s still on V3.5.4.
Onyx no longer offers software update downloads from their website to manually install them so you just have to wait for the update to become available from the Firmware Update section directly on your Boox device.
The new 4.0 software adds several new features and it brings some changes to the user interface.
Here is the full list of changes with the 4.0 update:
