Kindle Sales Begin, Plus Other Tablet and eReader Deals

November 22, 2015 by Nathan

Kindle Black Friday Deals

Kindles are on sale again as part of Amazon’s Black Friday Deals week. The Kindle Paperwhite 3 is marked down by $20 and the entry-level Kindle and the Kindle for Kids Bundle are $30 off the regular price.

Unfortunately the Kindle Voyage is left out of the deals; hopefully Amazon will put it on sale again before Christmas. Currently the only way to get it below cost is with the Kindle Voyage essentials bundle, or with refurbished units, which cost $169.

There are some deals to be had this week for other ereaders and tablets as well.

The Nook Glowlight Plus is on sale, and so are B&N’s Samsung Nook tablets.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like Kobo is getting in on the action, at least not yet. I guess it’s not surprising since they rarely offer sales on their ereaders. So far they aren’t even advertising any deals for Black Friday yet. They just have an old 4-day Black Friday Deal page up from several years ago.

Kindle Sales

Kindle Paperwhite 3 – $99 ($20 off)
Kids Kindle Bundle – $69 ($30 off)
Kindle – $49 ($30 off)

Fire Tablet Kids Edition – $85 ($15 off)

These deals all run through November 30th, or for as long as supplies last. Retailers that carry Kindles, like Best Buy and Staples, have the sale prices as well.

Other Tablet and eReaders Sales

Fire HD 6 Bundle with Case – $59 ($40 off, plus free case)

Nook Glowlight Plus – $119 ($10 off)

Nook Samsung Tablets – up to $50 off

Google Nexus 7 – $129 with travel cover

Lenovo Tab 2 10 – $169 ($30 off)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 – $119

Samsung Galaxy Tab A – $179 ($50 off)

Apple iPad – 20% off select models at Staples

That Kobo page is for last year. Notice the dates don’t correspond with the correct day of the week, the old logo at the top left, and the copyright of 2014 at the bottom.

Actually the last time November 25 was a Thursday was 2010 so that probably explains the ereader being given away.

You’re totally right. That’s hilarious. It’s good to see Kobo keeping their website up to date. I updated the article so it wouldn’t confuse others…

A Curious Loophole To Get a Kindle Free for 1 Year was a post you did last year. I’m curious as to what happened. Did you remember to make the return before the year was up? if so was there any problems getting your refund from Amazon?

I was going to send it back but decided against it at the last minute because I was afraid I wouldn’t get my money back due to an erroneous return label. It must’ve been a glitch because that long of a return window hasn’t happened again.
