OverDrive Summer Read Program Now Live with Free eBooks for Kids

June 12, 2018 by Nathan Groezinger

OverDrive Summer Read

Last week OverDrive kicked off their Summer Read program in the US and Canada that’s meant to encourage students to continue reading during the summertime while school is out.

For the Summer Read program, OverDrive has a collection of ebooks available for both kids and young adults. There are four titles available for juveniles and four titles for young adults.

The ebooks are available through OverDrive libraries without wait lists so you can download them anytime.

The Summer Read program runs from June 6th through July 18th.

The Juvenile Collection is meant for young kids and the Young Adult Collection is for middle and high school students, but anybody with a library card can download them, of course.

Below is the selection of free library books; click the images to go to OverDrive to select your library to download them.

Hmm, I guess my library isn’t participating. They only have 2 of the books and only 1 copy each.

That’s weird. I figured they would all have them but maybe it’s more of a school library thing. My library has them and I even got OverDrive on my Aura One working again and downloaded one as a test.
