Last week Amazon had the Kindle Scribe on sale for its lowest price ever at $234.99 for Prime Day, and while that sale has ended, you can still get a Kindle Scribe for that same price.
Amazon currently has certified refurbished Kindle Scribes on sale, and the 16GB version is $234.99, which is $75 off the regular price of the refurbished version. It’s actually a better deal than the Prime Day sale, if you don’t mind buying refurbished, because this one comes with the premium stylus instead of the basic stylus at that price.
Amazon also has the 32GB version marked down to $249.99 from the regular price of $324.99, and the 64GB version is only $264.99, down from $349.99.
Amazon didn’t have the 32GB or 64GB model on sale for Prime Day, unless purchased as a bundle package, so at least this way you can buy them without any add-ons if you want to, and the prices of these refurbished units are way lower than buying new (the 64GB Kindle Scribe is $419.99 new, so that’s a savings of $155).
Amazon’s certified refurbished Kindles are usually a safe bet; they’re mostly customer returns that look and work like new, and they come with the same 1-year warranty as new Kindles.
This is a limited time deal and I have no idea how much longer it will last, but it’s a really good deal for a large-screen Kindle that also doubles as a notebook. I still don’t understand how Amazon can sell the Kindle Scribe for so cheap, even refurbished, but it’s a great device for the price.
