Kobo WiFi eReader Coming to Walmart too

October 21, 2010 by Nathan Groezinger

Kobo Wireless

On the very same day that Barnes and Noble issued a press release stating that the Nook is coming to Walmart stores next week, Kobo follows suit by announcing that the new Kobo WiFi ebook reader will be making its way to Walmart’s shelves next week too.

This is a really smart move by Kobo. So far the Kobo Reader has only sold from Borders stores in the US. The 1st generation Kobo eReader sold from Walmart stores in Canada, but not in the United States, so this looks to open up Kobo’s market quite a lot by adding their ereaders to 2500 Walmart stores across the US.
