Review: Pandigital Planet Android Tablet and eReader

September 20, 2011 by Nathan Groezinger

Pandigital Planet Review »
Pros

  • Low price
  • Solid feature-set and open Android OS
  • Multi-touch resistive screen is a step up from traditional resistive screens
Cons

  • Cheap plastic body
  • Typical battery life is 4-6 hours, and battery drains excessively in standby
  • Sometimes high-pitched noises can be heard emanating from it
Verdict

For the price it is a decent budget Android tablet and ereader, but for a little more you can get something with better hardware.

Editor’s Note: I’m going to start using these quick review boxes for a summary of the review. My reviews are generally very long-winded so I’ve been wanting to add summaries for a long time and now we have them!

Thanks! I’m thinking about going back and adding them to some of the other recent reviews too. The only thing I don’t like is they take up a lot of room, but oh well.
