Review unit purchased from Amazon. Overview The Xteink X4 Pro is the first Xteink device to come equipped with a frontlight and a touchscreen. It has a similar form-factor as the original Xteink X4 with the 4.3″ E Ink screen, but they did away with the physical buttons below the screen, and they repositioned the […]

It’s been over a month since I last updated CrossPoint on my Xteink X3 so I went ahead and did that today. They’ve added some useful new features over the past couple weeks, and they also added support for some new devices, including the new X4 Classic, the X4 Pro, and the M5Stack PaperMono. CrossPoint […]
XTEINK S4 Released with Android, Frontlight and USB-C
Xteink just released their 3rd new reading device this summer, the Xteink S4, and it has an interesting combination of features. Most notably, it’s the first Xteink ereader to run Android, but there’s a catch… From everything I’ve read, it sounds like the S4 is only going to be available in China, as Xteink reps […]

Xteink had already transitioned to using pogo pins on their smaller Xteink X3 and the new X4 Pro, and […]

XTEINK Confirms the XTEINK X4 is Getting Discontinued
I had a feeling this was going to happen, and now Xteink has confirmed it. The much-loved Xteink X4 ereader is in the process of getting phased out. This morning the above message was posted on Xteink’s official Facebook page saying goodbye to the X4. I guess the rumors of an updated X4 Gen 2 […]
