Black Friday Deals List for Kindle eReaders & Fire Tablets

November 27, 2014 by Nathan

Kindle Fire Black Friday Sale

As expected, there are a number of good deals to be had on Kindle ebook readers and Fire tablets this Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend.

The good news is the sale prices are available online so there’s no need to wait in line or deal with the shopping frenzy at retail stores.

Unfortunately the Kindle Voyage isn’t among the devices on sale this weekend, but that’s not surprising given the fact that it hasn’t been in stock since it’s release (right now it shows it will be in stock on December 13th).

Feel free to post more deals in the comments section. I’ll update this post if some other good deals come up this weekend.

Note: Don’t miss the unadvertised 75% of Kindle ebooks sale or the $130 in free Android apps that Amazon is giving away for Black Friday.

Kindle eBook Readers

$49 Kindle – Amazon is offering their new entry-level Kindle for $30 off the regular price from November 27th through November 29th. Staples and Best Buy have the same deal while supplies remain in stock.

$99 Kindle Paperwhite – Amazon is knocking $20 off the Kindle Paperwhite, my top choice for an ebook reader this year, from November 27th through November 29th. Best Buy and Staples have the 2nd gen Kindle Paperwhite on sale for $99 as well. Same goes for Office Depot and Office Max.

Amazon has also dropped the price of their Kindle Unlimited bundles to go along with the sale prices on the Kindles:

Kindle Paperwhite + 6 months of Kindle Unlimited for $129

Kindle + 6 months of Kindle Unlimited for $79

Fire Tablets

$79 Fire HD 6 – Amazon has their new 6-inch tablet on sale from November 27th through November 29th. That’s $20 off the regular price. The 16GB model is $99. Best Buy, Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot are offering the same deal.

$109 Fire HD 7 – Amazon has cut $30 off the price of their new 7-inch tablet for 2014. The 16GB model is $129. The deal is valid from November 26th through December 1st. Best Buy, Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot are offering the same deal.

Amazon has also dropped the price of their Kindle Unlimited bundles to go along with the sale prices:

Fire HD 6 + 6 months of Kindle Unlimited for $109

Fire HD 7 + 6 months of Kindle Unlimited for $139

    Hi Nathan,
    Indigo Books Canada has the
Kobo Aura for $100 (reg $140),
and throwing in a free cover,
for a total savings of $80.

Thanks for the tip! It’s a better deal than Kobo is offering without the cover for $99.

Is that USD or CAD? Makes a $12 or so dollar difference for the better in the States and comes out to about $87.47 USD. All of that assumes that their prices are in Canadian dollars. Might be a REALLY good deal.

Kobo charges in US dollars for US residents, but Chapters only charges Canadian dollars, I think. Although most credit cards charge foreign transaction fees so that would eat up some of the savings. PayPal can probably be used to avoid that though.

I imagine that shipping would be a bear, too. Worth looking into, though.

So, I have to say that I’ve really been digging my Fire HD 6. With this deal, for under $100 you can get a 16GB tablet that’s pretty damn nice. The only issue I’ve found (other than the whole Amazon ecosystem thing) is that the cameras both suck. No biggie. Awesome deal for a SWEET tablet.

Yeah, the cameras are perfect for making fuzzy UFO-sighting videos or taking pictures of big foot strolling through the forest. 🙂

I pretty much just act as if the cameras don’t exist. They’re ok for the occasional video chat, but really I just don’t do the canera thing on any tablet… never made sense to me.
