Pocketbook has a bunch of ereaders on sale on their official Amazon store, including some of the newer models they released earlier this year.
One of the better deals is the PocketBook InkPad 4 for $249. That’s $40 off the regular price. It’s one of the nicer 7.8-inch ereaders on the current market and it has a solid set of features.
One I would be cautious about is the InkPad Lite for $199. On the surface that sounds like a bargain for 9.7-inch ereader, but the screen only has 150 ppi and the device has outdated specs. The Kindle Scribe is only $40 more and is 10x better, but not everyone wants a Kindle.
Pocketbooks are a good alternative to Kindles and Kobos. They support EPUB books, including ebooks from the public library, and they all have dedicated page-turn buttons. Some have expandable storage and some are waterproof. There are lots of options.
PocketBook eReaders Sale List
Here’s the link to the main PocketBook page at Amazon. I’m not going to link to each model individually because they have multiple listings for the same products.
PocketBook Basic Lux 4 – $99 ($10 off): This is Pocketbook’s new basic model. It has a 6-inch E Ink screen with 212 ppi and a regular frontlight. It has page buttons, a microSD card slot, there’s 8GB of storage, but it has an older microUSB port.
PocketBook Verse – $115 ($14 off): Another 6-inch model with 212 ppi and 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It has Pocketbook’s newer design and a USB-C port, and it has a frontlight with adjustable color temperature.
PocketBook Verse Pro – $140 ($19 off): Same as the one above except it has a 300 ppi screen, it adds audio support, and it’s waterproof, but it lacks the memory card slot.
PocketBook InkPad 3 Pro – $195 ($44 off): This is a previous generation 7.8-inch model using Pocketbook’s older design. It has 16GB of storage space and it’s waterproof.
PocketBook Era – $199 ($20 off): A Kindle Oasis clone with a 7-inch screen, the Era is available with either 16GB of storage or 64GB. The latter is $30 off at $219.
PocketBook InkPad Lite – $199 ($80 off): This has a 9.7-inch screen with only 150 ppi. But it does have page buttons, unlike most larger ereaders, with 8GB of storage, and it has a frontlight with temperature control, and there’s a microSD card slot too.
PocketBook InkPad 4 – $249 ($40 off): This is Pocketbook’s latest 7.8-inch model with a Carta 1200 screen. It has all the modern features and the newer design. The one thing it lacks is a memory card slot, but it is waterproof.
PocketBook InkPad Color 2 – $279 ($50 off): This has a 7.8-inch color E Ink screen and it was just released a few months ago (see my review), but Pocketbook has already replaced it with the InkPad Color 3 with a newer color E Ink screen. Is the new screen worth $50?
