If you’re looking for a last-minute gift idea, or if you’re just someone that enjoys using Kindle Unlimited and want to get a discount, Amazon has Kindle Unlimited gift subscriptions available for 17-40% off the regular monthly price.
The 2 months of Kindle Unlimited for free deal is still active as well if you’d rather get an extended trial offer instead.
Amazon raised the price of Kindle Unlimited earlier this year from $9.99 per month to $11.99 per month, so the prices of the gift deals aren’t as low as they used to be, but you can still save 40% when paying for 24 months up front.
These gift deals are always available but Amazon doesn’t advertise them very often and the page is nearly impossible to find on Amazon’s website if you don’t have it bookmarked.
The way it works is you can purchase gift subscriptions for Kindle Unlimited in 6, 12, or 24-month terms. If you buy 6 months or 12 months the price works out to the old price of $9.99 per month instead of the usual $11.99. If you buy 24 months you can get it for $7.20 per month.
If you’re unfamiliar with Kindle Unlimited, it’s Amazon’s ebook subscription service that provides unlimited access to a library of over 3 million Kindle ebooks, thousands of Audible audiobooks, and a selection of comic books and magazines that are all accessible anytime using a Kindle app or Kindle ereader or Fire tablet.
This deal is available in three tiers:
6 months – $59.94 (17% off)
12 months – $119.88 (17% off)
24 months – $172.66 (40% off)
It’s worth noting that recipients can exchange a gifted Kindle Unlimited subscription for a regular Amazon gift card if it’s something they’d rather do, and a gifted subscription can be applied to extend and active subscription as well.

This is a great gift idea for my daughter-in-law. but I orders the subscription for her and was charged $131.89 for a one year subscription. But you are showing a deal this year for a one year subscription at 119.88, why was I charged 131.89?

This article is dated 2023. They jacked up the prices so the deals aren’t nearly as good as they used to be.
