This is a quick note to mention that the review for the new Pocket Edition is now finished and can be found on the Sony PRS-350 Review page.
Also, here is the link for the PDF review for the Pocket Edition. Both reviews include several pictures and a video in addition to the written review.

Hi, I have another question if you don’t mind.
Both the PRS-350 and PRS-650 I think have specifications indicating screen resolution at 600×800. Given that one screen is 6″ while the other is 5″, does this mean that the DPI (dots per inch) for each unit is different? And if so, does this mean that that theoretically one screen should display better than other?
Thanks.

I think it’s something like 200 for the 5-inch and 167 for the 6-inch. Not sure how much visible difference that makes, if any at all, but I’ll do some comparisons when the 650 arrives.

Thanks for the excellent review and close-up photos. I agree with you that the PRS-350 is one of the best-looking eBook readers available, and I don’t think that’s an irrelevant consideration, especially for something that a person will be looking at for many hundreds of hours.

I`m also interested in the visible size difference between the 350 and 650.
I don`t really care about the additional features of the 650(SD slot and MP3 player) and the $50 or so dollar difference doesn`t really matter but I wonder if the portability of the 350 is worth more than the additional inch in screen size and overall size of the 650.
Is the overall size of the 650 a pro or con as compared to the 350?
I guess there would be better battery life with fewer page turns.
I`m interested in which one you prefer to read on just based on size and nothing else.

That’s a good question, J.M. The PRS-650 hasn’t shipped yet, but I’ll do a bunch of comparisons between the two when it arrives. According to Sony, the battery life is about the same.
In truth, I’m anticipating liking the 650 better because there’s not really a font size that I like on the 350. Small is too small and medium is good but requires frequent page turns. I’m going to add some pictures to the review shortly showing what I mean.

Thanks.
Great review by the way.
