Sometimes I see people saying online that Kindles should run Android instead of the custom Linux-based software that Amazon has used since Kindles first came out. I’m sure the hacking crowd would love it if Kindles ran Android instead. The Kindle software developers might like that as well since Fire tablets run Android and they […]
New Bigme B6 has 6″ Color E Ink Screen, Runs Android 14
Bigme has released a new ereader with a 6″ color E Ink screen called the Bigme B6 (they really should start coming up with better names for their devices) and it has some interesting features for the price. At $169 on Amazon, it’s only $10 more expensive than the Kobo Clara Colour, and it has […]
Leaked Prototype of New Color Kindle Raises Lots of Questions
Someone with a vendetta against Amazon has posted some images and details on reddit about a new color Kindle that is supposedly getting released later this year. The pictures show a prototype of what looks like a basic 6″ Kindle with a white bezel and a color E Ink screen. The prototype doesn’t have a […]
Good Deals on Like-New Kindle Paperwhites at Amazon
Amazon has some really good deals on “like-new” Kindle Paperwhites again, and even the upgraded Signature Edition model is included this time around. Amazon has had the base Paperwhite on sale a couple of times at this price, but this is the first time I’ve seen the Signature Edition priced this low. For a limited […]
Kobo Releasing New White Clara Colour Soon
Someone on reddit found a new product listing for a white Clara Colour on an obscure Canadian website, so it looks like Kobo is getting ready to release a new white version of the Kobo Clara Colour soon. This always happens whenever Kobo launches a new product; it always shows up on some random website […]
Kindle Colorsoft SE Returns to Search with Low Sales Numbers
A couple weeks ago I posted about how Amazon had started intentionally hiding the original Kindle Colorsoft on the Amazon US website after they released the new cheaper 16GB Colorsoft. Amazon removed the listing for the Signature Edition Colorsoft from their search results, making it impossible to find when running searches on Amazon’s website, but […]
New Veidoo 8.2″ eNote Looks Interesting, But There are Red Flags
A couple new Veidoo ereaders/eNotes have turned up for sale on Amazon, and the prices seem pretty reasonable, but it looks like there might be a good reason for that. There’s a Veidoo 10.3″ eNote for $268.99, but it’s temporarily unavailable, so we’ll focus on this Veidoo 8.2″ model for now, which is currently available […]
More Companies Should Copy the Boox Palma’s Pocketable Design
When Onyx first released the Boox Palma in 2023, I thought we’d finally start seeing more pocketable ereaders hitting the market, especially considering the fact the Boox Palma appears to be one of Onyx’s most popular models over the past two years. In fact, it just might be their best selling model in terms of […]
