Acer recently unveiled their latest 10″ Android tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A510, and given the specs and price it could stand a chance at becoming a worthy alternative to the new iPad.
What’s surprising is the fact that it’s priced the same as the Acer Iconia A500 from last year, even with all the hardware and software upgrades, including double the storage space.

NextBook has released a new 8″ Android 4.0 tablet called the Premium8se. The “se” stands for “Special Edition”. What makes it special, apparently, is the Android 4.0 operating system since all the other non-special NextBooks run Android 2.3 and older.
Aside from coming with the latest version of Android, the Premium8se has a front-facing camera, microphone, speaker, Wi-Fi, 4GB of memory, a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of RAM, and microSD card slot.

The Novo 7 Paladin is a cheap tablet from China that sells for as little as $89 to $119. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with some decent features for the price. But that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily worth getting. Or does it…
Check out the full Novo 7 Paladin review for the run down on this cheap Chinese import.

Excellent news for Transformer-wielding tablet owners that have had problems since the recent Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, Asus has started rolling out another firmware update that will hopefully kill the ICS bugs dead.
Some Asus Transformer owners, myself included, have experienced a number of problems since the ICS upgrade, including random reboots, freezing up, battery drain, Wi-Fi connectivity issues, and problems with the tablet secretly taking control of government satellites while in sleep mode (okay so that last one didn’t happen…yet).

Asus started rolling out the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the original Asus Transformer tablet yesterday in Taiwan and the US and other countries today.
First thing this morning I went into settings to check for the update and it immediately started downloading. So I’ve been testing out the new ICS operating system all day and decided to put together a video review and a quick article describing some of the new features.

Below you will find a list of seven places to download and install Android apps for your Android tablet, phone, or ereader, including the Kindle Fire, Kobo Vox, rooted Nook Touch, Pandigital tablets, and pretty much any other device that allows the installation of third party apps.
Since a lot of tablets don’t come with access to the official Android Market, users have to either find a hack to add it to their device, which can be complicated and often voids the warranty. The easier option is to use alternatives appstores. That’s where this post comes in…

PocketBook International recently introduced a new tablet called the PocketBook A 7″, which is essentially a smaller version of the PocketBook A10 that was shown at IFA back in early September.
As the name implies, the new PocketBook tablet has a 7″ screen. In fact, it has the same screen size and resolution as the Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet, but with a TFT screen instead.

At CES 2012, Asus unveiled what has a chance to be one of the best 7″ tablets of the year, the Asus Eee Pad MeMo. The Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet better watch their backs.
What makes the Asus Eee Pad MeMo so attractive is the combination of high-end specs and low price, not to mention the fact that Asus is one of the top tablet manufacturers thanks to the success of their line of Asus Transformer tablets.
