E FUN Adding Kobo eBook Store and SlideME App to Nextbook Android Tablets

April 15, 2011 by Nathan

Nextbook

I received an email from E FUN yesterday that says they are going to add the Kobo ebook store and SlideME appstore to their line of NextBook Android tablets and ereaders. Right now the NextBook tablets tie-in with the Borders ebook store, which is actually Kobo’s store, so it looks like they are taking out […]

The marketing department at Amazon is really good. Every single day I find myself checking Amazon’s website to see what the free Android App of the day is. Today the free app is ezPDF Reader, the first ereading-based app Amazon has given away. It normally costs $0.99 and has 4.1 stars over 17 reviews.

April 9, 2011 by Nathan

Acer Iconia A500

Yesterday Acer announced the launch of its first Android tablet, the Acer Iconia A500—and it comes at a competitve price-point, $449, given the specs are pretty much identical to the Motorola Xoom, minus 16GB of internal memory. The Acer Iconia tablet features a 10″ 1280 x 800 resolution touchscreen, WiFi and Bluetooth, HDMI port, 1GHz […]

Entourage Pocket Edge Half-Price, No Longer on Entourage’s Website

April 8, 2011 by Nathan

I’ve been keeping my eyes on this for the past few weeks and it appears that there’s definitely something fishy going on with Entourage Systems, makers of the the Android-powered Entourage Edge and Pocket Edge. For starters, both devices have been completely removed from the Entourage website. Clicking on the device tab takes you to […]

April 6, 2011 by Nathan

Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galaxy Tab’s price has been falling more and more lately, probably to make room for Samsung’s upcoming 8.9″ and 10.1″ Honeycomb tablets. Sprint and Verizon both have the 7-inch Galaxy Tab for $199 with a two-year contract. Verizon’s contracts run from $20-$80 per month and Sprint’s are $30 and $60, depending on data […]
