Over the past couple of years I’ve had the opportunity to use and review around two dozen Android tablets and ereaders, including the Kindle Fire, various Nook tablets, the Asus Transformer, cheap Chinese imports, a bunch of crummy tablets from Pandigital, and even some Android-powered E Ink ebook readers like the Nook Touch and Sony […]

It’s not very often that Amazon offers an ebook for their free paid Android app of the day, so I thought this one warranted a mention. Asus has released yet another software update for the original Asus Transformer TF101 tablet, version 9.2.1.21. If you remember from an earlier post, I and a number of other Transformer owners have had problems with the tablet ever since Asus upgraded the software from Android 3.0 Honeycomb to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
New Asus Transformer TF300 Tablet Released for $399
Asus has managed to make the Transformer brand one of the top names among Android tablets, and now they’ve got a new model, the Asus Transformer TF300. Unfortunately it’s not the rumored 7″ model for under $250 that everyone has been waiting for, but it’s still an interesting tablet nonetheless.
