Kobo’s entry-level ebook reader, the Kobo Touch 2.0, has been out of stock for at least the past two months now (probably longer) from Kobo’s website. It’s no longer available from Chapters.Indigo either, one of Kobo’s retailers in Canada. In fact the page for the Kobo Touch 2.0 has been removed entirely and just directs […]

Kobo Aura One Finally Loses Limited Stock Designation
It looks like Kobo has finally gotten their supply issues worked out with the Kobo Aura One. Ever since it was first released last September Kobo has only had it available for short periods of time before selling out again. For the past few months it’s been available off and on with “limited stock” each […]
Code Reveals Plans for Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2
It looks like Kobo has plans to release a 2nd generation Kobo Aura H2O later this year. Someone at MobileRead noticed a reference to a device called the Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2 in the code for the latest Kobo software update. Kobo’s tendency to add “Edition 2” to newer devices makes it pretty clear […]
Kobo Aura One Back In Stock, But for How Long?
The Kobo Aura One is back in stock again from Kobo’s website. The US store, UK store, and Canadian store all show a limited quantity back in stock. It remains to be seen how long the “limited quantity” will last. Hopefully they have enough to stay in stock for longer than a day or two […]

Automatic updates have already started rolling out, but that can take several weeks to get depending on where you live. I haven’t gotten the update yet but […]
Kobo Launches Kobo Plus eBook Subscription Service
Yesterday Kobo announced the launch of a new ebook subscription service called Kobo Plus. Currently it’s only available in The Netherlands and Belgium, so it’s no competition for Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited, but it could be the start of something bigger. Kobo Plus is a collaborative service between Kobo, Dutch publishers, and online retailer bol.com. Here’s […]
Kobo Aura One In Stock Again, So is Official Sleep Cover
Kobo has a limited number of Kobo Aura One ereaders back in stock again. Both the US and Canadian Kobo stores show that limited quantities are available, while the UK store still says more stock is coming soon. Kobo had some for sale last week for a short time, so they might not last for […]
